Every name actively tracked, organized by sub-sector. Coverage rotates daily — on any given morning, one of these tickers is the brief. The rest sit on the watch sheet until drill results, an NR, or the tape moves.

Reference ETFs in rotation: XGD.TO (iShares S&P/TSX Global Gold), HURA.TO (Horizons Global Uranium), COPP.TO (Global X Copper Producers), SIL.TO (Global X Silver Miners). The brief sometimes uses the ETF tape as a sector tell rather than a single name. AISC (all-in sustaining cost), NPV/IRR at consensus deck, cut-off grade and strip ratio are the four numbers flagged in every junior brief.
V. The brief, in hand
A facsimile of a recent morning brief, exactly as sent on WhatsApp. Four lines for the thesis, the drill grade, the trigger, and the stop. One line on what would invalidate the set-up.
“The market doesn’t care how long it took you to write the note. Only that it’s right by 9:30 AM Eastern.”
You’ll send BRIEF — subscribe to tomorrow’s mining note.
LME copper held US$4.18 overnight; Foran moved 4 % on volume. Read the drill grade, not the headline.
6:58 AM Pacific · the morning ritual
The day starts at six. Gold, silver, copper and uranium settle prints from the prior US session read first — LBMA AM fix, COMEX prompt-month, LME 3-month copper, SPUT spot uranium, USD/CAD.
Then the TSX-V tape: drill results from SEDAR+, infill assays, NR releases, NI 43-101 amendments. A 90-minute scan compresses into a 188-word WhatsApp note.
By the time the open hits at 9:30 AM Eastern, the brief has been read at over nine thousand kitchen tables, prospector trucks and Bay Street trading desks.
“Grade is king. Everything else is noise.” — the desk’s only painted-on rule.
VI. On the record

VII. What this isn’t
The distinction matters — a signal-pump performs, an analyst thinks out loud. You can tell which is which by what they do on a quiet Tuesday afternoon.
VIII. Members
Unsolicited notes from current members. Quoted verbatim, attribution withheld at member request. These are individual experiences, not financial outcomes anyone is guaranteed to replicate.
I read the brief on the SkyTrain into downtown Vancouver. By the time I’m off at Burrard I already know which junior I’m watching at the open. Three sentences, four numbers, done.
First mining newsletter in fifteen years that actually cites the drill hole and the cut-off grade. Not the headline, not the chart. The grade. That alone is worth the WhatsApp notification.
I subscribe to four mining channels. This is the only one I haven’t muted on WhatsApp. The Friday recap alone saves me an hour of reading SEDAR+ filings.
